How to Apply Custom Branding

Step 1 (After logging in):
Click the “Gear/Cog” icon in the upper right corner and select “Admin Settings”

 

Step 2:

Inside the Admin Dashboard, click “Web App” in the left menu and select “Branding”

 

Step 3:
Modify the “Brand” tab fields

Company Name: This will display in all of your emails, browser tabs, and also in the footer of the application.

Logo: This will display on all desktop and large resolution tablets. The dimensions of this image must be between 90px tall and 240px wide. A 50px tall by 240px wide Photoshop template is attached to this article.

Mobile Icon: This will display on all phones and small tablets. The dimensions of this image must be a 30px by 30px square. A 30px tall by 30px wide Photoshop template is attached to this article.

Favicon: This will display in the tab of your browser. The dimensions of this image must be a 16px by 16px square. You can go to http://favicon-generator.org/ to automatically create one based on your mobile icon.

3 Colors: These will change the buttons and text colors inside the application. Click inside the text box to change the colors.

 

Step 4:

Modify the “Login” tab fields



Choose Your Login Page Background: There are three choices when it comes to the login background; stock images provided, a solid color, or an uploaded image. The image will stretch to fit the entire background, so make sure it is a large resolution image.

You can also apply custom CSS to change all elements on the page.

 

Step 5:
Modify the “Contact” tab fields

Support Email: This is the email address that all support and help questions from inside the application will be delivered to. This address will also be displayed in the help section and all system emails.

Support Phone: This number will be displayed in the help section and all system emails.

Support URL: This URL will be displayed in the help section and all system emails.

Support Fax: This number will be displayed in the help section and all system emails.

From Email: This is the from email for all system emails sent out.

 

Step 6:

Modify the “Domain” tab fields



Set-Up CNAME record: These sets are laid out in 3 clear steps.

  1. Create the sub-domain: This will be the name you selected when you filled our custom branding form. (Exp: uploads.mycompany.com)
  2. Create the CNAME Record through your DNS records you will need to create the CNAME record for this sub-domain
  3. Point the CNAME Record to custom.smartfile.com

Enter new sub-domain address: This is where you will enter the new sub-domain address. Do not enter the http:// or https://.

Note: Please allow up to 24 hours for the CNAME to register and your site to respond, if you have trouble please contact SmartFile.

 

Step 7:
Modify the “CSS” tab fields

Custom CSS: Here you can customize the entire application through custom CSS. Advanced users that have knowledge of how to overwrite CSS should only do this. This is a great way to hide elements, add more color changes, customize background, rearrange layouts, and much more.

 

Step 8:

Click “Save”. Your site is now branded!
